Termina 2017, otro año más, y como siempre llega el momento de las valoraciones, de las listas y los repasos de lo que hemos visto y escuchado.
La cosecha de Metal de 2016 ha sido abundante y de calidad en muchos de sus géneros y con la consagración del vinilo parece que las ventas empiezan a reponerse aunque las cifras siguen siendo muy bajas. La gran cantidad de conciertos, por su parte, hace que no sea posible acudir a todos y que la reducción del IVA cultural no se haya notado prácticamente nada en el precio de las entradas… algún día alguien debería explicar donde va a parar ese dinero.
De entre las defunciones de este año hay una que ha dolido especialmente en la redacción de Empire (sin despreciar al resto, por supuesto) y ha sido la postrera de Warrel Dane cuya música y voz en Nevermore y Sanctuary ha sido santo y seña para varios de nosotros. Descanse en paz!
